Hello Everyone

We had some great racing the last two weekends.

Thank you to all who participated.

We are looking at using the next three or four Sundays as make up days

since we were unable to sail half of the Spring Series.

Schedule for the make up races is May 24th and 31st, and June 7th and 14th.

Start time will be at 1:00.

If anyone would like to race on these days please let me know so we have an idea

of how many people will sail.

Thank you

Nov. 1, 2008

Hello Everyone

Sunday was a perfect day for sailing on the Lagoon. Racing started a bit later then expected.
The breeze was from the West at about 10 to 12 knots. There was consistent wind throughout the
length of the course, which made for lots of close racing. Just about every race had photo finishes.
In almost every start the wind angle seemed better at the boat end, but the wind speed always appeared
stronger at the pin end of the starting line. With enough wind to hike out, the goal was to try get up to top speed to start.
Keeping the boat speed up through the tacs was equally as difficult.
I think we all figured out that when the water is pouring in over the low rail, that is to much heel.
Jack won the day in perfect form. After eight races he had won all but one, for a total of seven points.
It was really nice of Dan to provide a second place for Jack to throw out. Seems awful if he had to throw out a first.
We all like to see someone beat the green boat. We need to keep our target on his toes somehow.
Dan nice job on the win in race 5. After six races a some of the folks were cold and went in.
The racing was so great that some of the boats wanted to keep sailing.
So we followed Jack and Dan around the course for two more.
We all shared hot cocoa and warmed ourselves as we made our boats road ready.

Thank you to everyone for helping with hauling out the boats.

We could use help with race committee if anyone is available.
I hope to see you all next Sunday for regular racing.

Hello Everyone

We sailed six races in a fickle South to Southwest wind that varied
between 7 and zero knots.
There was no wind to be seen as we pulled into the parking lot. Of course that
never keeps us from rigging our boats. As we started launching the breeze
came on a bit. The first two races we had enough wind to sail twice around.
As the afternoon went on the wind began to fade. The rest of the races we sailed
one time around a windward leeward course. By the time we all sailed in to the
dock the fans had shut off completely, there was absolutely no wind on the pond
at the end of the day.

Thank you to everyone that sailed.

Thank you to Dawn for being our Race Committee.

Please remember that the Cold N' Nasty Regatta is next Saturday, Registration opens at 12:00.
Skippers meeting at 12:30. Racing starts at 1:00.

We plan to sail next Sunday also.

Hope to see you all next weekend
