Hello Everyone
Day 4 Sunday the
23rd was an exciting day at the Lagoon seven boats sail seven races in
West winds around 5 to 12 knots,
with some stronger gusts. Tom
and Ed handled the RC boat and set up the course.
It was great to see
all of you out sailing.
Day 5 Sunday the
30th was one of those days when you know you shouldn't go out sailing, but
four of us left our better judgment at the dock and gave it a go anyways. Wind
was Southwest at 10 to 15 with gusts around 20 knots. This was a challenging
day and with the weather getting worse we decided to stop after the fourth
race.
This Sunday will
be the Cold N' Nasty Regatta. We will start at 1:00 PM. Daylight saving
time changes so don't forget to change the clocks.
Please try to be
there and launch early so we can start on time.
Before we leave
the dock I would like for us all to be sure to weight up the boats evenly.
Hope to see you
this Sunday

Hello Everyone
Fall Series Day 3 on Sunday the 16th
we sailed in 12 to 15 knots from the West.
With gusty conditions it was a
very tricky day for Penguin sailing at the lagoon.
Team 9730 took the day showing the
rest of us single handed folks that the boat
works best when sailed with crew. Even though the morning didn’t
look so good
the afternoon worked out to be a good day for racing.
Hope to see more of you this
weekend.

Hello Everyone
The Second Annual Tennerstedt Regatta sailed on Sunday Oct 9.
Seven boats sailed seven races
under sunny skies in 5 to 10 knot winds from the East. Thanks to Ed for setting
up the course and for starting and scoring the races. All boats were aggressive at the starting
line with someone over early in almost every race. We had a few general recalls
where almost everyone was over early. When the wind speed changes in the
stating sequence it can be challenging to get the timing just right. We all
enjoyed the close racing and the good competition.
After the races we took the
opportunity to spend some time with the Tennerstedt
family and share some of our favorite Tenner stories
which I am sure you all enjoyed as much as I did. Only after hearing the group
share these great memories for a while was I able to understand how much he was
involved with this class and what great fun it was to race against him. We are
all thankful for everything he did for this fleet and for the class. Thank you
to Mark Kastel for the suggestion of having a Tenner regatta, I think it was a great idea.
Hope to see you all next Sunday

Hello Everyone
The series opened with a perfect
day for Penguin sailing at the lagoon.
Wind was on and off, from the East
about 5 knots when it was on. Six boats made it to the starting line.
Six races were sailed out of which
Jack was able to toss a 2nd place
to leave the day with 5 points. That was nice of you to show
us how it is done.
Thank you to everyone that sailed
and to everyone that helped with launching and hauling the boats.
We are looking forward to another
great sailing day next Sunday.
October 9th will be The
2nd Annual Tennerstedt Regatta.
Hope to see you there.
