Hello Everyone

Once again we had great racing last weekend.
The wind was just north of east at about 5 to 7 knots,
turning light and variable towards the end of the day.

Congratulations to Jack for winning the day, and once again
showing us all how the lagoon really works. We will miss you
next Sunday, Best of luck in Gull Lake.

Diane Hunt sailed with Cottie. She is one of the most experienced Penguin
crew available, having many years of Penguin sailing, including time with the Great Master.
We were all glad to see her and we hope to see more of her around the pond.

Next week is our last scheduled race day for the Spring Series.
We will try to Start as close to 1:30 as possible.
Please try to come out and sail, if you can't make it, we look forward to
seeing you all in October, as we begin the Fall Series on Sunday the 5th.
Mark your calendar.

Thank you

Sunday May 4th

Hello All

Thank you to everyone that came out to sail today.
What a great day for racing. We had eight boats out.
The racing was very challenging. Everyone took their
turn being lagoon-ed at one time or another.

How much room is enough when rounding the leeward mark?
Well I think the experiment went well, we now know that five
boats takes up more room than one boat.

Sounds like most people want to sail on Saturday next weekend.
I will not be able to sail Saturday, so let me know it if anyone
can bring the boat out. I will make sure the batteries are ready.
If Saturday does not work out. I can Sail Sunday if anyone wants to.
Let me know what you think

Thank you for some great racing

Hello Everyone

Sounds like most of us missed some good sailing over the last few weekends.

The weather looks good for this Sunday.

I hope to see as many Penguins as possible this week, as we are near the end of the Spring Series. The last day of sailing for the Spring Series is scheduled for May 18th.

I am still trying to get an idea of how we want to handle next week. It sounds like some of you would like to sail on Saturday the 10th instead of Sunday the 11th.

We will see how everyone feels about it when we talk after sailing this Sunday.

See you at the lagoon

Hello All

Time to Sail again.

The first day of the Spring Series, March 30th we did not sail.

The weather did cooperate and the ice was gone.

However, only two sailboats showed up at the pond.

The forecast looks good for this Sunday.

We hope to see a few more boats out this weekend.

We are still looking for help with race committee for the Sunday Series, and for the Puddle Championship on Saturday the 19th of April.

If you know of anyone that can help with this, please let me know.

Thank you

Patrick
